_______ The value of educators throughout this country often goes unrecognized. Teachers are heroes that go to work every day ready to educate, inspire and influence our children. Yet, their true worth is rarely compensated on a monetary level. Often, these heroes don’t have basic resources and materials and perform in overcrowded classrooms. Their long-term impact on the lives of our future combined with the lack of acknowledgment for their achievements is the crux of our foundation, Walk of Hearts®.

_______ We live in a society where knowledge is everything. It creates attitudes, drives dreams and promotes action. Motivated by an overwhelming sense of hope, individuals around the country have made a choice to be something greater and to change the world we live in a little bit every day.

Purpose

_______ A hero is defined as one who shows great courage. Courage is defined as mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear or difficulty. For decades, teachers have been underpaid in unstable working conditions that is frequently challenged by new educational policies and insufficient funds. Through various obstacles and environmental threats, our country’s educators walk into their classrooms filled with an innate need to guide their students in a direction of intention, purpose and positivity.
